A SUPER LINTON EXPERIENCE
How do you improve Wharfedale’s highest selling loudspeaker of all time? You spend every additional penny of the increased asking price on squeezing as much additional performance out of the Linton that you can. And you do it in such a manner so as fans can’t help but reach just that little bit deeper into their pockets for a superior listening experience. A Super Linton experience.
SUPER LINTON
This 3-way vented-box standmount loudspeaker features a new 200mm woven kevlar bass driver, a 135mm woven kevlar midrange driver and newly designed 25mm soft dome treble unit. Plus, with increased cabinet volume (605 x 300 x 330mm) and a highly refined split PCB crossover, Super Linton is the superior Linton in Wharfedale’s Heritage family.
CROSSOVER CRAFTSMANSHIP
A newly designed split PCB crossover avoids electromagnetic interference that degrades delicate midrange and treble performance, while audiophile-grade inductors, capacitors, and resistors were chosen with painstaking precision to seamlessly stitch together high, mid, and low frequencies, giving your music a single, unified voice.
OFF THE DEEP END
Greater cabinet volume, increased magnet strength, and a more powerful motor system bootstrap Super Linton’s bass extension. But more remarkable than the 32 Hz it can deliver is the improved transiences and bass impact, delivering low notes with weight and at lightning speed.
FROM FIRST AMP TO FLAGSHIP
Rated at 90db for 2.83V, Super Lintons high sensitivity & steady 6ohm impedance (8ohm compatible) mean it will partner with almost any amplifier without overloading it. But it's 25 - 200W recommended amp power rating ensures that Super litton can also grow with you.
BUILT TO EXCEED EXPECTATION
Combining padded inner walls of thick acoustic damping foam with long-hair fibre and Wharfedale’s advanced Sandwich cabinet construction, Super Linton exceeds its predecessor’s damping performance, reducing cabinet resonances to levels below audibility. Now you can experience the true texture of each note and not the colour of Linton’s cabinets.
MIDRANGE MAGIC
Super Linton’s revised midrange chamber, a now generously proportioned cylindrical design with graded layers of long-hair fibre damping, cancels rear-cone back waves for remarkable midrange clarity. Linton long prided itself on midrange realism. Super Linton is nothing short of surreal.
DEVIL IN THE DETAIL
Super Linton’s design brief was simple. If it improved performance, it was reworked. That’s why specially contoured profile updates, that minimised edge interference and maximised midrange/treble balance, were implemented within Super Linton’s grilles. A small tweak for significant listener rewards.
TAKING LINTON TO NEW HEIGHTS
An updated shorthorn profile, paired with a newly designed front plate, smooths treble response and enhances dispersion, while its new lightweight fabric dome, coated with a special damping material and driven by a ceramic magnet system, delivers sweet, detailed upper frequencies.
DESIGNED TO STAND TALL
While Super Linton stands 2 inches (50mm) taller, its width and depth remain untouched. So it’s perfectly positioned to rest upon the original Linton stand, the widely-praised LP storage doubles that let vinyl fans display their favourite albums beneath their favourite speakers.
