Wharfedale is the British heavyweight champion of value-for-money loudspeakers. Every single component, from woofer cone to cabinet, is both designed and built in-house. This creates unparalleled quality control while maintaining the lowest possible price. And with a range that extends from entry-level to extreme luxury, Wharfedale has a specific loudspeaker to suit you – anywhere along your audio journey.
The Beauty of Bookshelf
Bookshelf speakers are often cited for being affordable, compact, and efficient. So, they’re cost effective, easy to position and require less amp power – making them a highly attractive option. While they don’t produce the same presence as floorstanding speakers, they’re often thought to produce better imaging properties.
FOR TIMELESS TASTES
Like Wayfarers, Chuck Taylors, and Porche 911s, heritage audio is classic design for people with timeless taste. But an icon shouldn't perform poorly. That's why Super Denton deftly weaves contemporary materials and modern engineering into a classic chassis: remarkable sound quality, pure style. Inspired by the original '71 Denton 3, with a status once applied to improved 'Super' and 'Super Power' Wharfedale models of the same decade, today's Super Denton is one for the ages.
SUPER DENTON
Super Denton is a 3-way standmount loudspeaker featuring a 1" (25mm) soft dome treble unit, 2" (50mm) dome midrange driver, and 6.5" (165mm) woven kevlar bass cone. With 360 x 246 x 275mm cabinet dimensions, Super Denton is ideal for small-to-medium sized listening spaces.
DISCOVER WHAT'S BEEN MISSING
Old favourites become new albums exploding in previously unexplored detail thanks to Super Denton's compact three-way design. With three entirely new drivers, individually dedicated to high, mid, and low frequency bands, your system will sparkle with greater accuracy, clarity, and instrument separation.
DIVINE VOCAL REPRODUCTION
Like the hallowed domes of St. Peter's Basilica, the eerily lifelike vocal reproduction of dome midrange drivers share equally mythic status among audiophiles. And Super Denton's is based on the acclaimed 2" (50mm) dome design of Wharfedale's multi-award-winning EVO4 series.
COOL CATS HAVE TASTE
Heritage owners know that sound quality isn't a loudspeaker's sole statement and why Wharfedale views Super Denton like fine furniture. Impeccably crafted, hand-finished, and available in three breathtaking true timber veneers, your new loudspeakers purr like kittens but scream 'this cat's got taste.'
SUPERB ENGINEERING SUPERB RESULTS
Critically placed bracing, long-hair fibre damping, and individual driver enclosures combine to both silence Super Denton's cabinets and enhance driver performance. Its big think engineering for small speaker complexity, and it's what puts the superb in Super Denton's musical performance.
SMALL FOOTPRINT. BIG IMPACT
Don't buy a big speaker just to get bass. Super Denton's all-new 6.5" (165mm) bass driver, with woven kevlar diaphragm mounted to a rigid die-cast chassis, is cabinet tuned down to 40Hz. So you get the rich foundations required to build an immersive musical experience in a smaller package.
FINGERPRINTS OF A HF POWERHOUSE
Super Denton's all-new 1" soft dome treble unit inherits key features from Wharfedale's flagship Heritage model, Dovedale. With vastly improved HF air and detail, and a resonant frequency dip below the crossover to create a natural, more cohesive balance between frequency bands, you'll lose yourself in the realism of each performance.
GET MORE FOR LESS
Despite the addition of a brand new 50mm dome midrange driver, Super Denton maintains its small stature. With cabinet dimensions mere millimetres beyond the 85th Anniversary Edition Denton, Super Denton delivers greater musical impact for virtually the same physical realestate.
