Ortofon 2M Red cartridge pre-fitted
The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon comes pre-fitted with an Ortofon 2M Red Moving Magnet cartridge. Ortofon are the leading name in turntable cartridges, and the 2M Red is one of their most widely-loved creations. With a diamond-tipped stylus on a responsive, graceful cantilever, the 2M Red is a versatile cartridge that picks up previously-unheard details, and delivers a warm, open listening experience.
8.6” carbon fibre tonearm
The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon comes fitted with a carbon fire tonearm. Carbon fibre is popular in high-performance cars and bikes, prized for its incredible strength while adding very little weight. That same strength-to-weight ratio makes carbon fibre an ideal material for a tonearm, making it stiff (so the tonearm doesn’t flex or bend, which causes distortions) while keeping it light enough to respond smoothly to the movement in the record grooves. The result is a detailed, clear sound that brings your records to life like no other. Carbon fibre also shields the sensitive tonearm wires from interference, keeping even more distortion from creeping into your music.
Plenty of upgrade options
The Pro-Ject Debut Carbon turntable's design offers plenty of upgrade options, including adjustable counterweights and anti-skating weight to accommodate a range of cartridges.
