With a host of settings, the Pro-Ject Tube Box S2 works with both Moving Coil and Moving Magnet cartridges to make you fall in love with your records all over again.

The Pro-Ject Tube Box S2 offers all this in a compact form-factor that’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Good things truly do come in small packages.

Tube Box S2 is our very first product to feature a fully discreet circuit design without using any operational amplifiers (OpAmps). It also is the first product to come with replaceable tubes for tube rolling and sound-shaping. This gives the customer many options to pick from and alter the sound signature to his preference. Tube Box S2 will give a full and relaxed laid back sound with lush mids, just like you would expect it from a much bigger high end tube phono pre-amplifier.

It offers support for both MM and MC cartridges and comes with many gain settings to be switched on the front panel. Five variable input impedance settings are available to adjust to any MM cartridge, the 47k ohms input impedance setting is fixed and suited for high output MC cartridges. The aluminium/metal casing is adapted to our DS2 line in looks and protects against vibrations and electromagnetic interferences for superior sound.

Pro-Ject Audio has been reviving music since 1990. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, when factories were closing in droves, founder Heinz Lichtenegger bought a turntable factory in the small Czech town of Litovel. Retaining the experienced staff and re-imagining classic turntable designs, we went to work constructing low cost, design-oriented turntables that would help people rediscover music the way it should be.

We're still working with the same staff out of the same small factory in Litovel. We've kept revising our low cost options for the easiest use, best sound and cleanest finish. But we also build midrange and high end turntables... and a whole lot more.
