Extratech supplement in the Melbourne Herald-Sun rated the SL 42-4 FHD-100 one of its Top 10 mid-priced TVs on the market, giving it 5 stars.
Note that this model was the cheapest in the Top 10.

"Look at the price [$1999 - not current special of $1699]. The money buys a full high definition model with MPEG4 tuning for when the networks upgrade the current TV system. This set has a truckload of connections, including two HDMI inputs [current stock has four HDMI inputs]. It's also available in white or black finish. The warranty is 3 years and after sales service is provided by the importer, International Dynamics, a respected Australian company that has been in business for 50 years. Picture quality is clear and detailed. Colours are warm and neutral. Rating: 5 stars.
